Portfolio Resident Services, Inc. (PRS) is a non-profit organization with an intentional mission to improve the quality of life for low to moderate income individuals, families, and senior citizens. We provide CORES certified resident services, which include programs that build knowledge, marketable skills, enhance a healthy lifestyle, and lift families, seniors, and all people up.
Eleanor (“Ellie”) Fanning leads the Inter-Faith resident services mission as the Executive Director of Portfolio Resident Services, Inc. Ellie’s experience in the affordable housing industry began in 2008, as a senior leasing agent. A year later, she joined the PRS team, tasked with overseeing the acquisition and implementation of resident services contracts for the entire Southwest Housing portfolio, consisting of 45 properties. Ellie opened the Dallas office for PRS in 2009, and today, PRS is possibly the nation’s largest provider of third-party resident services with over 275 contracts, 95% of which are LIHTC properties.
The goal of PRS is to provide quality social assistance to residents of affordable housing communities. This is accomplished through educational and skills-based programs designed to raise culture and family standards. Melinda Frazer is the Executive Director of Today’s Resident Services. Melinda joined the Inter-Faith Housing alliance in 2010 and has since overseen the organization’s expansion of impact from four states to over a dozen and now serves more than 330 communities in supportive services. Over the years, Melinda has also led the charge on marketing videos to help tell the story of IFG’s mission. Melinda is also a board member for the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Authorities (TALHFA), a member of the Housing Advisory Group (HAG), co-chair of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP) Scholarship Committee, and a member of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). For her position at TAAHP, she has the opportunity to interview scholarship recipients each year in order to compile a video for the organization’s yearly conference, which has raised awareness and increased fundraising exponentially.
